Optima UHMWPE/HMPE Winch Line is made of ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fiber and is the highest strength synthetic fiber rope available made by ROPERS.Optima3E extension rope is an essential element in any winch rope kit.it has many characteristics, such as high strength, light weight, wear resistance, impact resistance, low temperature resistance and so on.
When the winch rope cannot reach the nearest anchor point, the Optima3E Extension Rope is the best choice to ensure the installation in any situation.
Feature:
- Extend the winch rope easily and safely.
- Under the same strength, the weight is only 1/8 of the wire winch rope.
- Cutting resistance, no rust and more durable.
- No burrs and no damages.
Application:
- Off-road
Specification:
Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), also known as high-modulus polyethylene, (HMPE), is a very tough material, the third largest high-performance fiber just after aramid fiber and carbon fiber. It is made up of extremely long chains of polyethylene with a molecular mass usually between 3.5 and 7.5 million, which all align in the same direction. It can be said that the fiber form of HMPE is closest to the ideal form of high-strength fibers, and this structure provides maximum strength and stiffness.
HMPE ropes have become the optimal solution for many applications due to their excellent performance. Mooring ropes made from HMPE exhibit numerous outstanding characteristics:
- High strength and light weight
- Flexible handling
- Floats in water
- High resistance to impact
- Resistant to most chemicals
- Resistance to salt spray corrosion
- High tension and bending fatigue resistance
The length of the winch rope
A common misconception is that it is best to install as much rope as possible on the winch drum. In reality, each additional turn of rope on the winch reduces its pulling power. When the winch drum's rope is overloaded, it is more likely to damage the winch or rope during extreme angle pulls.
Therefore, we highly recommend using shorter winch rope to reduce the risk of winch overload, winch damage, and rope damage. To compensate for the shorter length of the winch cable, we suggest using Optima 3E extension rope, which is highly portable and enables the winch rope to be used for more functions.
